From creator Tatsuya Endou and Wit Studio (Great Pretender, Attack on Titan) comes SPY x FAMILY. A story about 3 people coming together to accomplish their own goals while pretending to be a happy family. SPY x FAMILY is currently published by VIZ Media on their Shonen Jump online manga platform back in October. Takuya Eguichi (Hachiman from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU), stars as the master spy Lloyd Forger, codenamed “Twilight”, who is looking to prevent a war from breaking out between two nations. His latest mission requires him to go undercover in his toughest role: a married family man.
In order to accomplish this task, he finds 2 others to fill the role of wife and child. He meets Anya, an unassuming orphan who is secretly a powerful esper; and Yor Briar, an airheaded office lady seeking a hunky man to impress her friends. Yor is secretly the deadly assassin “Thorn Princess” and wants to use Lloyd as the perfect cover for her covert missions. Anya being an esper is the only one who knows the secrets they keep from one another, and isn’t eager to spoil her fun by telling her new parents about one another.
SPY x FAMILY gives off Mr & Mrs. Smith vibes and should be a fun show to look forward to next year. Check out the posters below.
