A Familiar Face is coming to Stargirl Season 2!

The Golden Age Flash is coming to Stargirl season 2, played by none other than John Wesley Shipp! Shipp, the veteran actor who played The Flash in the 90s TV series, reprises his role as Jay Garrick. His first appearance will be made in episode 9 of Stargirl’s sophmore season. The appearance cements Stargirl’s place in the larger DC Cinematic multiverse.

After being firmly established in Earth-2, Stargirl has been isolated from the remainder of the DC Multiverse. While the Arrowverse takes place on Earth-Prime, prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earth’s crossover Jay Garrick was seen on Earth-3. While it’s not clear if this Jay Garrick is the same one from The Flash, Shipp’s casting lends a sense of credibility to the role.

Stargirl Season 2 is shaping up to be stellar. Last season teased the appearance of Eclipso, The Shade and a previously thought dead Starman. Will a crossover with Grant Gustin’s Flash be in the works? We’ll have to wait and see.
