‘Batgirl’ to get the Whedon treatment for DCEU

Lets give Warner/DC credit; they are going all in on movies (even if they are heavily reliant on Batman).

Variety reports that a standalone Batgirl movie is on the way, and it’s being helmed by Joss Whedon, who is heavily credited for guiding the Marvel Cinematic Universe to prominence.

As its very early, there are few concrete details, but this announcement ironically coincides with the 20th Anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Whedon’s most famous work. Will Warner give full creative control? It might be in their best interest to do so. But here we are with yet another Batman property being pushed to the fore, along with the alleged Gotham City Sirens vehicle being fasttracked for Harley Quinn. I’ll look forward to it, but when will we see someone not related to Batman get some love? Things address real quiet on the Cyborg front…
