The fall movie season is upon us. That means a whole lot less action, blockbuster popcorn flicks for me to enjoy, however the actor in me loves seeing actors honing their craft in all types of films. The Drop happens to star 2 of my favorite actors, so it was something I certainly couldn’t pass up.
The Drop is the new film that stars the late James Gandolfini (The Soprano’s) and Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises). The film takes a look at organized crime’s use of local New York City bars as money-laundering ‘drops’. When lonely Brooklyn bartender Bob Saginowski (Hardy) uncovers a drop of a different sort in the form of a battered pit bull puppy that he rescues from certain death, he comes into contact with Nadia (Noomi Rapace), a mysterious woman hiding a dark past.
Oh and I snuck in a mini-review of No Good Deeds as well, lemme sum it up for you…PG-13 thriller about a murderer. The rating tells you all you need to know. You’re welcome.
